THE PROBLEM / CHALLENGE
Context
- During the Paris 2024 Olympics, Nike anticipated a surge of tourists and wanted to create a central hub for consumers to discover store services and experiences tailored to their needs.
THE APPROACH
Research
- Studied consumer behaviour around online store navigation and service discovery.
- Benchmarked interactive maps and microsites for usability insights.
Concept Development
- Proposed an interactive microsite with static map integration and minimal click-throughs.
- Highlighted Nike's unique in-store services such as Nike By You, Jersey By You, and Try-On Experiences.

THE PROCESS
Design Development
- Created wireframes showcasing both map and list views for easy navigation.
- Designed a carousel feature to display images of in-store services, enhancing visual appeal.
- Incorporated a static Google Maps integration with hover/click functionality for detailed store information (name, directions, services).
Key Decisions
- Chose a static map for simplicity and speed.
- Emphasised a “Services First” approach in design, with quick access to store-specific offerings.
- Focused on a clean, responsive layout optimised for mobile users.
Collaboration
- Worked closely with developers to implement Google Maps integration and bilingual functionality.
